Within this section you will find information and contacts for police, ambulance and the local SES/CFS and medical & community services including health and community care and children’s services, as well as local business, post office and service providers, food, accommodation, fuel and gas, local community organisations, library and town management contacts and more.

Check the Calendar of Events for what’s on in Andamooka up to 12 months ahead. The Notice Board provides notices on meetings and other items of current community interest. Find information about Health and Community Care as well as facilities, activities and services for over 60’s, youth, and children.

The sections on Community Clubs & Associations and Community Programs & Projects provide information on local clubs, associations and volunteer groups as well as opportunities to get involved in a raft of projects ranging from historic records and exhibitions to fundraising and events. Members of the community are encouraged to join in the projects whether working from home or as part of an informal group, or perhaps taking on a leadership role. Community Programs planned for the next 12 months include introductory sessions on using the internet and social media, first aid, and historic record keeping.

Internet, Television & Radio Services:

• Internet and WiFi is available at the Community Library located at Andamooka School. Open weekdays and available times can vary so call the school on 8672 7018 to check.
• The VAST Network provides ‘free to air’ television via satellite and requires a dish and receiver box installed.
• Local news and weather is available on ABC Regional North & West 891AM or on 105.5 RoxFM.

Banks & Banking:

• Limited banking and payment services are available at the Andamooka Post Office.
• The closest bank is located in Port Augusta.
