For Children
Kids and families have loads to do in Andamooka. There is a huge undercover playground and adjacent skate park nearby to the caravan & camping ground off Opal Creek Blvd., where parents can keep a watch from the undercover BBQ kitchen and picnic spot.
The centrally located Splash Pad at the Community Hall is a winner with kids of all ages during the hotter months and once again supervising parents can relax under the Hall’s extensive shady verandah, enjoy a coffee from the Yacht Club cafe or fire up the community BBQ for a family sausage sizzle.
A great family treat is joining in a nocturnal walk at Arid Recovery located on the Borefield Road out from Olympic Dam. Book via their website at www.aridrecovery.org.au
With plenty to explore a family can spend a few busy days in and around Andamooka. See the suggested ‘Day by Day Itineraries’ for visitors.
