Alex Mendelssohn
Local artist Alex Mendelssohn has been living in Andamooka since 1958 and began painting in 1973. The beauty of the outback has inspired a number of his works.
Alex has had great success nationally and internationally. He has showcased his work locally in Roxby Downs, Adelaide and Melbourne and further abroad in Germany and New York. He also supplies to a number of private collectors.
Alex frequently donates his art to charity and is involved in art workshops.
Recently, Elizabeth Pitcairn, American classical violinist fell in love with a Mendelssohn piece and it is proudly displayed on her website. You can view her gallery here.
